HOT TODDY is a queer animated comedy and teenybopper whodunnit about two ex-BFFS and the buckets of blood between them, only some of which from their periods. 

Veronica Mars meets The Powerpuff Girls; HOT TODDY is a freaky, funky noir film with a bubble gum twist.

Anna Seregina is a stand-up comic and performer, described as having the “worst aura.” She was named a “Comic to Watch” by the SF Weekly. She produces the Los Angeles branch of the long-running SF show “the Business.” She is a co-host of “Terrified with Dave Ross,” part of the Nerdist network. She has appeared in comedy festivals (RIOT LA, SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown, Sacramento, Crom, SF Comedy Day, SF Comedy & Burrito), hosted music festivals (Panache’s Bruise Cruise, Phono del Sol), told stories at storytelling events (the Moth, Porchlight), and done weird things publicly (SF MoMA, Artists’ Television Access, SFAI, Public Access TV).

Atsuko Okatsuka was named one of Variety's Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2022 and is taping her debut standup special with HBO this fall.  Vulture said she "won late-night" when she did her debut stand-up set on The Late Late Show with James Corden and during the pandemic, started the joyful #DropChallenge with her Grandmother which has amassed more than 10 million views.  She later went on to Jimmy Kimmel Live where she taught Chelsea Handler, Guillermo and the audience how to do it.  Formerly undocumented and raised by her Grandmother, her unique upbringing brings about an artfully-offbeat resilient persona which she notably showed in in 2019, when she did a stand up set during an earthquake at The Ice House comedy club in Pasadena.  She was commended for keeping the audience calm and serving quick-witted jokes while the earthquake went on.

Baltimore-born and Florida-raised, Katrinia Davis’s comedy covers everything from heartbreak and hurricane preparation to fist-fighting for the fine arts. She was highlighted in WhoHaHa’s Comedy Call Out Fall 2020 and was also named one of Time Out LA’s Comedians to Watch 2019. She has been seen on America’s Got Talent (2017) and performs stand-up all over Los Angeles. You can see her featured on the Seed & Spark comedy special Everything Is Fine, the comedy YouTube series Booked and Fact Check on Amazon Prime YouTube. In June 2021, she taped her upcoming comedy special with Comedy Dynamics.

Mary Sette

writer/director/producer/showrunner

Mary Sette is a comedy writer/director, illustrator, and independent filmmaker working in Los Angeles. She makes animated genre stories about the queer proletariat hungry for blood, cheese, anti-depressants, and money to pay for the anti-depressants.

She is currently writing and illustrating her first graphic novel, HORRIBLE CORPSES, based on her hilarious teenage years as a suicidal wannabe goth. Her work will be debuting at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival this year. 

Some of the companies she’s worked for include Disney Channel, Digimind Productions, Dancing Atoms Studio, Unreal Engine, and Comedy Bang! Bang!, Snapchat, and Partizan Entertainment. Both her writing and illustration have been featured in the CalArts Animation Residency, St Nell’s Humor Writing Residency, Slackjaw Humor, Whohaha, Medium, and Blog Talk Radio.

Cangellaris

animation director/designer/producer

 Anna Cangellaris works with 2D animation, motion and narrative to create vibrant, character driven work. She is well versed in editing, compositing and 2D motion in After Effects. She can also create awesome cel animation and concept art.

She has had the pleasure of working with Adult Swim, TriBeCa Film Institute, Cogs & Marvel, Adobe, Conscious Minds, Rice McVaney and PBS among others.  She has taught Traditional and Digital animation courses at The New School (NY), Los Angeles County High School For the Arts, and with Sony Pictures Media Arts Program.  She received her MFA from CalArts Experimental Animation (2018) & her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (2012).
